# Partner Portal — QA, Performance & Remediation Report

_Last updated: this engineering session._

This document is the durable record of the QA sweep across the partner portal.
It captures **what we tested**, **what we found**, **how we fixed it**, and
**how to verify in the next pass**. The goal is that any engineer (or AI agent)
can re-run the loop and get the same signal.

## 1. QA Process

A single sweep has four phases. Each phase has its own checklist, owner and
exit criteria. Findings are tracked in §3 with an internal ID
(`PSQ-###`). Anything not closed in the current sweep is filed for the next.

### 1.1 Scope matrix

### 1.2 Phases

1. **Static checks** — `tsgo --noEmit`, `bunx vitest run`, ESLint, `rg` sweep
   for `console.log`, `TODO`, `any` returns at API boundaries, ad-hoc
   `toLocaleString`.
2. **Functional walk-through** — Each route × each role from the matrix.
   Confirm RLS denies the negative path (e.g. Member hitting `/admin` should
   server-redirect, not flash content).
3. **Performance probe** — Chrome DevTools Performance + Network panel on a
   throttled "Fast 3G" profile:
   - First Contentful Paint < 2.0 s
   - Dashboard hydration < 1.5 s after FCP
   - No request > 400 ms on the dashboard critical path
   - No duplicate identical queries within a 60 s window
4. **Regression loop** — Re-run §1.2.1 and §1.2.2 after every batch of fixes.
   A fix is only "closed" when its row in §3 is checked in two consecutive
   sweeps.

### 1.3 Exit criteria for the sweep

- `tsgo --noEmit` is clean.
- No `error`-level lines in the browser console on the partner or admin
  dashboards after a hard refresh.
- No 4xx/5xx on the dashboard critical path.
- All findings in §3 either **Resolved** or moved to a follow-up doc with an
  owner.

## 2. Tooling used this session

- `tsgo --noEmit` — type-level regression gate (faster than `tsc`).
- `rg` — code search for dead exports, duplicate patterns, ad-hoc formatters.
- Lovable Cloud (Supabase) SQL editor — schema, RLS, RPC verification.
- Browser DevTools — Network waterfall, Performance flame chart, React Profiler.
- `bun remove` / `bun add` — dependency pruning.

## 3. Findings & Remediations

Status legend: ✅ Resolved · 🟡 Mitigated (needs follow-up) · 🔵 Verified clean
(no action required).

## 4. Performance scoreboard (post-batch B)

Measured locally on a warm cache, throttled to "Fast 3G", on the partner
dashboard route.

## 5. Re-QA loop (run this before declaring "done")

Run top-to-bottom. Anything that fails goes back into §3 with a new `PSQ-###`.

### 5.2 Functional walk-through (15 min)

For each role in §1.1, in order:

1. Sign out, clear storage, sign in.
2. Visit each route. Confirm:
   - Skeleton appears, then content. **No** "Loading…" text.
   - Browser console is free of red entries.
   - Network panel has no 4xx/5xx on the critical path.
3. On `/content`, hover a card's **View** button for ~1 s, then click. The new
   tab should open in < 200 ms (warm prefetch).
4. As a Member, manually navigate to `/admin`. Expect a server redirect, not a
   client flash.
5. Sign out. Confirm the next user's dashboard never briefly shows the previous
   user's data.

### 5.3 Performance probe (10 min)

- DevTools → Performance → record a cold load of `/dashboard`. Confirm scoreboard
  numbers in §4 still hold (±10 %).
- DevTools → Network → check `recharts` and other heavy chunks only load on
  routes that need them.

### 5.4 Follow-ups parked for next sweep

- PSQ-020: harmonize `AdminErrorComponent` with the prod-safe stack gating in
  `RouteErrorComponent`.
- Investigate moving `/admin/analytics` charts behind a deferred import so the
  initial admin dashboard doesn't pay for `recharts`.
- Add a `knip` config to fail CI on newly dead exports.
- Add a Playwright smoke that exercises the 6 critical journeys in §5.2 in CI.
